01 / Make room to play
Most tables we assemble go into spaces smaller than the recommended sizes below. For recreational play, a slightly smaller room can still work well.
These dimensions are recommended for a standard 58-inch cue. Your skill level, style of play, and preferred cue all influence how much clearance you want.

Treat this as a guide for full-length-cue play, not a minimum room requirement. A smaller space may mean using a shorter cue for some shots near walls or furniture. Share your room dimensions and how you like to play—we can help you consider the tradeoffs.
Measure the playing surface between the cushion noses, in both directions—not the outside edges of the rails. Then measure the clear space available in the room and note any obstructions. Send those measurements with a photo if you are unsure of the table's nominal size or whether the layout will work.
Yes. For recreational play, a shorter cue can be a practical way to handle shots near a wall, post, or furniture. How often you need it depends on the layout. If you want to use a particular full-length cue throughout a game, aim for the room sizes recommended for that cue length. The choice is about the playing experience you want, not simply whether your room meets the chart.
The original reference also shows approximate room sizes for 48-inch and 52-inch cues. Use it to compare clearance for different cue lengths, rather than as a pass-or-fail test for a recreational room.

No. The cloth prices on the refelting page are material costs, not the complete service price. Request a quote for your table and location to confirm the full scope and cost of the work.
Weak or uneven rebound, a dull sound on impact, and visible deterioration can point to cushion problems, but they are not a diagnosis on their own. Tell us what you are noticing and send a full-table photo plus any useful close-ups. Bumper replacement is quoted for the individual job.
The felt on the rails must be replaced when the bumpers are replaced. That does not automatically mean the cloth on the table bed also needs replacement. Let us know the bed cloth's condition and whether you want a full refelt so the work can be planned together.
